Unity Party of Colorado Announces 2nd Nominating Convention

Broomfield, Colorado, April 9, 2020 – Due to recent expanded interest from multiple Congressional Candidates from other parties, the Unity Party of Colorado ( will be holding a 2nd 2020 Nominating Convention Assembly on Saturday, April 25th, the last possible day allowed by the emergency COVID-19 legislation passed by the Colorado General Assembly.  Independent Candidates and Candidates from all other Colorado political parties are welcome and encouraged to attend and seek Unity Party nominations. All nominations voted on at last Saturday’s convention shall remain valid and unchanged; this 2nd convention is merely intended to fill numerous vacancies.

“We arranged the proper legally-required notifications with 15 minutes to spare this morning,” says Unity Party of Colorado Chairman Eric Bodenstab,  “and the State’s Department of Elections has confirmed that there’s nothing in the law which would prohibit such an extraordinary event. Extraordinary times call for extraordinary events, and we again invite candidates from all other parties in Colorado, especially those who received no relief from the State with their petition drives shut down by the COVID Crisis, to join us for our online WebEx convention on the 25th.  We just ask that this time they don’t wait until minutes before the start of the convention to have their campaign managers text us.”
